Super Systems, parent company to Fast Grind Int’l meets with current and prospective clients from around the globe while visiting Hong Kong
Cincinnati, Ohio—November 8, 2011— Super Systems Optical, a provider of optical equipment internationally including its signature Fast Grind 2200 lens surfacing system, was represented at the Hong Kong Optical Fair from November 3, 2011 through November 5, 2011. Super Systems has been serving Eye Care Professionals since 1923 and is a supplier to nations across the globe. The Fast Grind System has been in service for over 19 years, providing substantial savings and convenience to ECP’s by eliminating the need for costly lab orders and allowing for same day service. The all-in-one surfacing system produces digital quality Progressives as well as other lens designs with extreme ease of use, only requiring tap water and leaving no mess. It is the world’s smallest lens surfacing system.
The show was featured at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and was organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in association with the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Assn. Major exhibits included Optometric Instruments and related equipment, Frames, and Lenses among others covering a full spectrum of the industry. Products were organized into zones, giving buyers the ability to focus on their specific needs. New this year was the ability for buyers to utilize QR coding, which scans directly to any Smartphone allowing them to obtain and retain information from any booth. To acquire information through the QR code, all a user had to do was scan the code through their device’s camera, and it was then available to be stored to their phone for later reference.
Fast Grind Int’l was one of eight exhibitors representing the United States out of approximately 600 total exhibitions across the optical spectrum. About twenty countries were present as exhibitors with an estimated overall attendance of around 6,000. Fast Grind was sought out at this exhibition by attendees in nations across the globe including: Thailand, Australia, France, Guam, and Peru among many others.
Super Systems President John Corsini commented on the show saying, “The Hong Kong Optical Fair is truly an international event and an excellent venue to expose the Fast Grind technology worldwide. Our booth was flooded with curious attendees and serious buyers from all across the globe.”
