Great question - I know that Nathan Bonilla-Walford and Justin Bazan do a fantastic job and are great people to learn from. Great post about the differences in social media and new media. "Pushing and not participating" is a great way to describe the situation. I feel that so many folks want to be in the media scene, but not many people want to work at be social and interacting with people.

People engaging in new media who are not utilizing the social part might be able to take it to the next level by doing so. Nothing wrong with new media alone; sometimes I am so busy I can only proliferate my content and not interact, but I try to as much as possible, just call it what it is!
