Additional Speakers, Final Program Set for VM’s 2013 March 13 Global Leadership Summit

NEW YORK— Three additional speakers have joined the roster of others previously-announced on the program for the upcoming Vision Monday 2013 Global Leadership Summit, to be held here March 13.
“Imagination + Invention—Succeeding In A Culture of Change” is the theme of the 7th annual, day-long event and exclusive forum, geared to senior-level executives in the retail, professional, lab and supplier sectors of the optical industry. The VM Global Leadership Summit, which will be held at The Times Center, brings together compelling speakers from within and outside the industry to offer fresh thinking and provocative perspectives.
Now joining the program for the Summit is Bruce Nussbaum, Professor of Innovation and Design at Parsons New School of Design and former Assistant Managing Editor for Business Week. Nussbaum is founder of the Innovation & Design online channel and a blogger on NussbaumOnDesign. He will be speaking in the opening session, Tapping Imagination and Creativity, along with Frank Moss, Director of New Media Medicine Group at MIT Media Lab.
Two new speakers have been confirmed for the session exploring OMNI-Channel Retailing, the newest trend among fast-moving businesses, where branding, content marketing and commerce are spanning the boundaries of brick and digital. Joining Francis Jean, OD, Founder, President and CEO of IRIS The Visual Group, Canada’s largest eyecare group will be Jay Engelmayer, VP of Marketing & Business Development at GlassesUSA.com, one of the larger online eyeglass retailers. Also now in this session is Martin Bispels, VP of Business Development for QVC.com, the world's leading video and e-commerce retailer.
EYE2 Vision Technology to the Next Power, will feature several speakers involved with new technologies and insights about them, including: Ami Dror, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, XPand; Kevin Rankin, CEO, eSight Corp.; Keith P. Thompson, MD, CEO, Digital Vision Systems, and Kip Fyfe, CEO, 4iiii Innovations Inc.
A look at New Healthcare Influencers will include: Annemarie Hagan, President and General Manager, Specialty, WellPoint, Inc.; and David Golden, OD, Founder, EyeHome Network and Co-Founder, Professional Eyecare Resource Co-op (PERC).
The VM Summit’s keynote speaker on Imagination & Creativity will be Robert Safian, Editor and Managing Director, Fast Company.
