CASLANO, Switzerland—Bally, the Swiss luxury leather goods house, has announced a contract with global eyewear group TWC-L'AMY for the development and distribution of an exclusive prescription and sunglass eyewear range.
Set to debut in October 2012 at the Silmo Optical Fair in Paris, the Bally collections will include sunglass styles for both for women and men, as well as prescriptive frames. Products are expected to be launched worldwide by the end of 2012.
Created in partnership with Bally’s creative directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler, the Bally merchandise team and L’AMY’s product manager and eyewear designer, the eyewear and sunwear collections “will embody Bally’s ethos of craftsmanship excellence, innovative design and high quality materials,” the company’s statement said.
Bally has been globally recognized for its “Swiss Made” quality and contemporary style. “Born in Switzerland in 1851, Bally has been at the center of European leather craftsmanship since its artisans began combining ancient skills with new technology. The cohesion of form and function was a passion of Bally’s founder, Carl Franz Bally, a global pioneer in shoe design, construction and production,” the company said. In 1976, Bally extended its product range to include handbags, leather accessories and ready-to-wear which have become an integral part of Bally’s modern collections for the global luxury market. Now owned by LABELUX Group, Bally celebrated its 160th anniversary in 2011.
Groupe TWC-L’AMY is the largest accessory company in France, bringing together eyewear, watches, handbags and jewelry under one international group.
