CINCINNATI— Super Systems, based here, has entered into a distribution agreement with Superoptical Latinoamerica to provide its Fast Grind “All-In-One” Lens Surfacing System and other products for Spanish speaking clients and prospects located in Latin America. César Sanabria, an optician and business developer based in Caracas, Venezuela, will manage the venture.
Superoptical Latinomerica has set up a Spanish language website to serve customers. The site offers sales, technical support, customer relations, and print materials. Countries to primarily benefit from this new offering include Venezuela, Columbia, and Peru, with Ecuador and Bolivia to follow as expansion continues.
“When considering that 60 percent of the Latin American population makes less than $500 U.S. per month, many need a progressive lens but cannot afford to pay for durable digital lenses. With the Fast Grind System, obtaining a digital quality progressive lens will now be an option for those who could not afford them before. Making the Fast Grind System accessible to Optical Shops in Latin America will not only benefit the optician, but will also allow much of the population to finally obtain a high quality progressive lens with the ADDVantage line of lenses,” commented Sanabria.
Super Systems president John Corsini, commented, “This is a very exciting opportunity for our company to blossom even in a time when the economy is feeling the stress of an international recession. We look forward to providing strong support to our friends in Latin America.”
