ATLANTA—SECO 2012 will return once again this year to the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) here, Feb. 29 to March 4, offering a selection of educational programs, exhibits and events aimed at optometrists and allied ophthalmic professionals.
This year’s theme, “Education Plus,” will offer a broad spectrum of new courses designed to help practicing ODs and staff expand their scope of practice with a focus on how ECPs can better serve their patients. This year’s program will feature nearly 400 hours of continuing education, including Special Sessions, hourly lectures, hands-on workshops, and certification reviews for ODs and AOPs.
SECO 2012 is offering an incentive to registered ODs—each OD who registers may bring an Allied Ophthalmic Professional (AOP) staff member for free, representing a savings of $249 to $299. For each additional staff member (AOP) registered after the first free staff member, save an extra $25 off each registration fee. Finally, SoCO members are eligible for an additional $50 discount off the registration fee. These lower rates and early registration incentives, which will end on Jan. 15, 2012, are available by going to seco2012.com.
In addition to the CE program, attendees can visit Optometry’s Marketplace, SECO’s expansive exhibit hall featuring nearly 300 industry-leading companies. This year, the marketplace will offer the newest in ophthalmic equipment, products and services with SECO’s exhibitors featuring the latest frames, the latest pharmaceutical products and office management solutions.
